Judging from the artwork, this record looks precious. Like annoyingly, saccharinely precious. Two steps twee of Belle and Sebastian.
Somehow, it’s not. Somehow, it’s really fucking good. It even rocks (in a refined, mannered, tasteful way).
Looking at the cover makes me feel like I’m going to get a scolding from Mary Poppins; listening to it doesn’t. Nice.
