So, I don’t really know where my money goes. Mostly to records, guitars, and beer, I guess. However, I’m hopeful that mint.com is going to change this for me. I spent a good portion of my morning getting setup (sorry KPMG), and so far it seems great.
Basically, Mint aggregates all your financial accounts into one site. Sounds simple, but it’s awesome. And it’s free.
Imagine a single screen that shows your checking accounts, credit cards, student loans, IRA, 401k, etc. and you get the idea. Not only that, it continually updates, so you get a (fairly) realtime picture of your finances.
What’s more, it automatically tracks and organizes your expenses. Wanna see how much you spent on booze last month? No matter how depressing (awesome?), Mint will show you.
And that’s just the beginning…

Fiscal responsibility, here I come.
